4SR factory rider broke two track records
4SR factory rider Patrick Hobelsberger #52 set two new track records – on the Hungarian Pannoniaring circuit and then on the Slovakian track Slovakia Ring.
In his preparation for the finals of the German IDM Championship in the Superbike category, Patrick Hobelsberger #52 (Team GERT56) drove his BMW M 1000 RR training motorcycle like no other. He set new track record of the Pannoniaring in the moto category with a time of 1:51.06 minutes. A few days later he repeated the same thing at the Slovakia Ring, where he set a new fastest lap time in the moto on 2:02.763 minutes.
At the last event of the season at the Hockenheimring Patrick put his hard training to good use. In Saturday's race he finished seventh due to a minor accident and a subsequent technical defect of his motorbike. In Sunday's race he finished first which secured him the final 3rd place in the Superbike category. His debut in the IDM got off to a great start! Congratulations and good luck next season.
