The grey kevlar motorcycle hoodie without a hood, featuring a fluo yellow camo chest print, is crafted from a unique single-layer kevlar fabric. This makes it extremely lightweight and wonderfully breathable. Additionally, it protects the rider's torso and arms from abrasions and lacerations in a fall across its entire surface area. Therefore, it does not need to be padded with additional protective layers of kevlar in specific areas, as is common with motorcycle hoodies. The 4SR Kevlar Hoodie is thin, lightweight, breathable, and durable – simply functional.
Durable
We had the material's abrasion resistance tested at the German certification center TÜV Rheinland, where it easily passed the EN 17092-4 Level A (45 km/h) abrasion test. Due to its composition, Kevlar provides a strong protective barrier against cuts, slashes, and punctures. It is naturally fire-resistant up to 426.6 °C. Furthermore, Kevlar fibers do not melt, drip when exposed to heat, or support combustion.
