Leather Motorcycle Gear

We’ve prepared a short article for all riders who are thinking about switching to the “textile side of the Force.”

LEATHER JACKET

Forget the myths and prejudices.

Leather breathes. It’s natural material that acts as a perfectly natural membrane – it channels moisture away while also protecting you. Just like your feet don’t sweat in leather boots, riding in a leather jacket is comfortable even in warmer weather thanks to perforation.

Strategic perforation. Perforated zones placed in areas with airflow make riding pleasant even on hot days. At the same time, the perforations are specifically placed so they don’t compromise safety – for example, outside protector zones and seams.

Yes, when you pick it up, you might notice a slight difference, but this difference plays in leather’s favor at higher speeds. Once you put on the leather jacket and ride, you won’t notice the weight. During your ride, the weight is distributed across your shoulders and doesn’t restrict you in any way..

On the contrary – at higher speeds (e.g. 120 km/h and above), the firmness of a leather jacket helps stabilize your ride. The stronger material handles airflow much better, the jacket doesn’t flap around and keeps its shape. This advantage is highly valued on powerful touring bikes. While riding, you don’t have to worry about any distractions and can fully focus on what matters most – the ride itself. That’s exactly why experienced riders and pros prefer it.

It sounds nice, but the reality on the racetrack and the road is clear – leather has no competition. Over 15 years of experience with crashes in world championship motorcycle racing confirms: no other material combines strength, flexibility and durability like leather does.

All synthetic materials involve compromises – you either lose strength, flexibility or endurance. Leather is the only material with no compromises. That’s why it’s the number one choice wherever safety, comfort and timelessness matter.

OUR EXPERIENCE?

LEATHER ALWAYS FINDS A WAY.

From experience, we know that most beginner riders start by considering a textile jacket. It’s light, often cheaper and looks comfortable at first glance. However, as the miles add up – and unfortunately sometimes after the first crash – perspectives change. The second choice is no longer about looks or price, but about real protection and real-world performance. A leather jacket offers a significantly higher level of protection, holds its shape better, is more stable in the wind and provides greater comfort on longer rides. That’s why most riders come back to it sooner or later.
