TECH-AIR® 5 PLASMA Airbag Vest

The vest is designed as ultralight, with unique comfort and an "invisible" cut while maintaining body protection in the torso areas including the chest, ribs, back, and shoulders. The back protector with PLASMA technology helps ensure optimal comfort, flexibility, breathability, and user protection. Thanks to the advanced algorithm of the current version, the vest features three riding mode options with the possibility of STREET (road traffic), RACE (track), and OFFROAD (the ability to ride on unpaved roads in terrain). TECH-AIR®5 PLASMA features a single gas cartridge canister, which can be easily and quickly replaced by the end user of the vest.

This system is ready for insertion into AirbagReady® jackets and suits.

Technical Description:

• Full coverage protection in the chest, ribs, back, and shoulder areas while maintaining the unique lightness of the system and high user comfort.
• A system weight of only 1.53 kg ensures this is currently the lightest TECH-AIR® system and is over 25% lighter than the TECH-AIR®5 system.
• Ultra-light construction with a minimalist, "invisible" design.
• Unique comfort and breathability thanks to the stretch construction and material composition ensuring breathability and sweat wicking.
• Back protection using advanced PLASMA technology, made from environmentally friendly material.
• Optimized, ultralight, and thin, single-layer construction with a proportion of stretch mesh is designed to wrap the upper body in the areas of the airbag bladder insert and minimize material layering.
• Easily and quickly accessible rear cover for access to the control unit, battery, and canister. Thanks to the easy access, the canister can be quickly and simply replaced by the user.
• User-friendly construction that allows the end user to easily and quickly disassemble the system for the purposes of routine maintenance and vest cleaning. Thanks to the simple unzipping of the rear part, detachment of the lining and back protector including the LED display and activation zip, the system can be easily disassembled to clean the vest's outer lining. Key service parts including the replaceable canister are also easily accessible.
• Battery operating time of up to 30 hours of riding time.

Riding Modes and LED Display:

• The system features three riding modes: STREET (road traffic), RACE (track), and OFFROAD (the ability to ride on unpaved roads in terrain). After the system is correctly turned on, the user can simply switch between the individual modes. Using the button integrated into the LED display, the individual modes can be switched by holding the button for 2 seconds. After activating a specific mode, a green LED lights up above its label. The system will alert you with a one-second vibration before activating a specific mode.
• When the vest is turned on, the system automatically activates, and the lower LED display not only visually indicates the system activation but also shows the current vest status and riding mode. This occurs approximately one second after activation via haptic feedback in the display area. In case of system deactivation or when a red status LED is displayed, the system emits long vibrations lasting approximately 3 seconds.

Safety Features:

• Active protection with full coverage of the chest, ribs, shoulders, and back.
• Integrated back protector made from viscoelastic NUCLEON PLASMA technology is low-profile, ultra-lightweight, flexible, and breathable.
• The low-profile back insert houses the control unit and gas cylinder. This makes the vest "invisible" when worn under a jacket/suit.
• The product is CE certified, and all protective elements fall under category II of personal protective equipment according to EU Regulation 2016/425 and are also compliant with English legislation.
• Passive protection in the form of the back protector insert is CE certified according to EN1621-2:2014 Level 1.
• Active protection in the form of the airbag is CE certified according to EN 1621-4:2013 Level 1.
• The complete system is CE certified as protective motorcycle clothing according to EN 17092-6:2020 with a classification of C for inner layers of clothing.
• The airbag bladder is designed and certified for up to 6 consecutive inflations without the need for replacement.

Construction:

• Breathable, adaptive cut made from a single-layer stretch mesh in the collar area, under the shoulders, and in the front sections.
• Ergonomic sleeves with an extended cut.
• Extended back section and low-profile collar.
• Anatomical design to enhance protection conditions. The airbag features strategically placed cutouts that adapt to the user's body, ensuring full protection while minimizing the layering of material volume.
